Bas Prinsen’s photos are super – both technically and content-wise.
The ones of Cairo Garbage City don’t just say a 1000 words, they also make you go and read a 1000 words. Something to really think about.
Bill Reid used to say “the art of being well made”. Lets choose to live that way … well-made and in this instance well-used, well-chosen for its utility, or beauty, well-built for its durability, well-done for its excellence, well-fed for its nutrition, you get the picture. There would be a lot less waste if we did just that.
Terrible how these people have to live if one can even call it “living”. We consume too much without a question as to whether we should or as to what will happen to this or that object after I used it … maybe it will end up in Cairo Garbage City or Vancouver Garbage City or wherever…
